Gods Thrift is a curated vintage and streetwear brand based in Athens. Every piece is found by hand across Europe, washed, sanitised, measured and photographed before it goes live — flaws included. What you see is what arrives.
The story
From an Instagram page to a full operation.
Gods Thrift started in 2019 as an Instagram page and a few rails of vintage. Pop-ups came next. Then sourcing trips across Europe. Then a store on Politechniou 13 in Neo Irakleio.
Gods Thrift became an actual company in November 2024, and the e-shop opened in January 2025. We opened the store doors in September 2025 and closed them in July 2026 — on purpose. The store taught us exactly what people want to wear, and it also taught us how much of a day disappears into rent, opening hours and waiting for foot traffic. Going fully online gave that time back to the part that actually matters: finding better pieces and getting them to more people.
Today everything runs from our warehouse in Athens. Sourcing, cleaning, photography, packing, the message you get when something's delayed — same hands, start to finish.
The process
Every piece goes through seven steps.
Second-hand doesn't have to mean second-guessing. Here's exactly what happens between the rail and your door.
Sourced by hand
We buy in person across Europe — markets, warehouses, dealers we've worked with for years. No blind bulk lots, no algorithm choosing for us.
Curated, not collected
Each piece is judged on brand, era, fabric, cut and how it actually wears today. Most of what we see doesn't make it back to Athens.
Washed & destained
Every garment is washed and stain-treated with the method its fabric can handle — before it goes anywhere near a camera.
Steamed & sanitised
Steam and ozone treatment removes odours and sanitises the garment. It arrives fresh — not "vintage fresh".
Repaired where it counts
Loose seams, missing buttons, small fixes. Anything we can't repair honestly, we photograph and describe instead of hiding it.
Measured & listed
Pit-to-pit, length, sleeve, shoulder — measured flat and written down, because vintage sizing lies. Then photographed and listed.
Sealed & stored
Once it's ready, every piece is sealed in its own zipper bag and shelved under its own code. No dust, no damp, no rail burn — it stays exactly as you saw it until the day it ships.

Why second-hand
The industry makes far more than anyone can wear.
Textile consumption is the fourth biggest environmental pressure in Europe, behind only food, housing and transport. Most of what gets thrown away is still perfectly wearable — it just stopped being new.

From the founder
"I've been doing this since 2019, long before it was a business. I did it because I loved it."
The sourcing trips are the part I'd do for free. Malaysia in 2022. Thailand and China in 2023. France in 2024. Spain and Italy in 2025.
I go looking for surfwear mostly — that's my weakness — and I come back with pieces I haven't seen anywhere else. That's the whole point for me. Vintage is one of the last places where a garment is properly made and there's only one of it.
So I take the time. Every piece gets washed, checked, measured and written up exactly as it is, because it's going to someone who is trusting a photograph.
I've made plenty of mistakes along the way — wrong calls on stock, orders I handled badly, a physical store I opened and then closed. I'd rather tell you that than pretend this was always a tidy operation. I learn from each one, and the next order comes out better for it.
The company has only been official since November 2024. But I have Gods Thrift tattooed on me, so I'm not going anywhere.
