Return & Refund Policy – Gods Thrift
At Gods Thrift, every piece is unique. We source, wash and curate each vintage and second-hand garment by hand, and every item exists as a single piece. Once it's gone, it's gone. This policy follows EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU) and Greek consumer law (Law 2251/1994).
General Return Conditions
Every item is shipped in a sealed Gods Thrift bag with its own barcode label, which identifies the piece. When returning an item, please make sure it is:
- unworn, unwashed and unaltered
- in the original Gods Thrift bag, with the barcode label
- sent together with your order number
Items returned worn, washed, damaged or altered are handled as described under Worn or Damaged Items.
Online Orders – European Union
For online orders shipped within the European Union, you have the right of withdrawal. You may withdraw within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, without giving a reason. To do so, notify us in writing at godssthrift@gmail.com within the 14-day period, including your order number.
Please send the item back as soon as possible, ideally within 3 working days of notifying us. Each of our pieces is unique, and a fast return lets it go back on sale. The latest legal deadline is 14 days from your withdrawal notice.
Refunds
Refunds are issued only once we have received the returned item, or proof that it has been sent back, and checked its condition. They are processed within 14 calendar days using the original payment method.
We refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered at checkout (for Greece, BoxNow locker delivery). Any additional cost for a faster or premium delivery method you chose, such as door-to-door or same-day delivery, is not refunded.
Return Shipping Costs
You choose how to return your item:
- We send you a return label. The return shipping cost is deducted from your refund. The amount depends on the return method that suits you (BoxNow locker, courier or international carrier), and we confirm it with you before the label is created.
- You ship it yourself. Send the parcel with any carrier you prefer, at your own cost. Nothing is deducted from your refund. Please keep your tracking number.
If the return is due to our error (wrong item sent or item significantly not as described), Gods Thrift covers the return shipping in full.
Worn or Damaged Items
Under EU and Greek consumer law, you are responsible for any reduction in the item's value caused by handling it beyond what is necessary to check its nature, characteristics and fit, as you would in a shop.
Every return is inspected on arrival and compared with our listing photos. If an item is clearly worn, washed, stained, smells of use, or has been damaged or altered after delivery, we may:
- deduct the cost of cleaning, restoration and handling, typically up to 20% of the item price, or
- where the item can no longer be resold, deduct up to the full item price, in which case no refund is issued for that item.
We document the item's condition with photos on arrival and will send you these, together with the amount deducted, in writing before the refund is issued.
Hygiene & Intimate Items
For hygiene reasons, returns are not accepted for underwear, swimwear and other hygiene-sensitive items once they have been unsealed or worn, even within the 14-day period.
Vintage Condition & Colour Disclaimer
All items are vintage or second-hand. Minor signs of wear, fading or ageing are natural characteristics of these pieces and are shown or described in each listing. They are not considered defects. Slight colour variations due to screen settings or lighting are not considered defects.
Wrong or Faulty Items
If you receive the wrong item or an item significantly different from its description, contact us as soon as possible at godssthrift@gmail.com with photos. We will arrange the return at our cost and issue a full refund.
Order Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled free of charge before dispatch by emailing godssthrift@gmail.com. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled, and this returns policy applies.
Non-EU Orders
Orders shipped outside the European Union are final, unless a return is required by the law of your country or the item is wrong or faulty.
